Mersin Child Campuses Mark Great Victory 104th Anniversary
Mersin Metropolitan Municipality organized celebrations at its Child Campuses to commemorate the 104th anniversary of the Great Victory on 30 August. The main program was held at Mezitli Child Campus, where children showcased their talents through music, drama, folk dances and a photography exhibition.
Colorful performances and cultural activities
At Mezitli Child Campus, students staged the drama "Çınaraltı Zafer Alayı." The children’s choir performed "İleri Marşı" and "Biz Atatürk Gençleriyiz." Toroslar Child Campus presented the drama "Müzedeki Gece." Folk dances from the Silifke and Teke regions were also featured by students from Silifke and Toroslar Campuses.
A photography exhibition titled "Çocukların Gözünden" was opened in the foyer, displaying original photographs taken by the children that reflect their perspective on surroundings and daily life.

Özay Öztürk, Family and Child Branch Manager at the Women and Family Services Directorate, said, "Our child campuses have been preparing for this event for a long time. Children exhibited their talents through the shows they prepared in music, folk dance, photography, story and drama workshops. We had a joyful day together."
"We wanted to see how children look at the world, not what they look at," Öztürk added, referring to the exhibition. "The children performed folk dances and dramas they had long been preparing with great enthusiasm. Both the theatrical atmosphere and the joy of the Victory Day were experienced together."
Hüseyin Gürler, a parent attending the event, said, "The event was very nice. Both the children and we had fun. We also celebrated the 30 August Victory Day. We are grateful."
Mehmet Özdener, who attended the program, stated, "I really enjoyed the event. It is important to pass the meaning of national holidays to the new generations. We wish the 30 August Victory Day to be celebrated with the same enthusiasm for many years to come."
Atike Topçuoğlu, who regularly participates in activities at Mezitli Child Campus, said, "Our children were wonderful as always. We also thank our teachers."
